He Could Have Come Down

Bound and nailed to that awful wood,

He could have come down.

He chose to bear that thorny crown,

Yes, He could have come down.

?

His blood trickled down

From the thorns in that crown,

He could have come down.

As He breathed each breath,

He drew closer to Death

He could have come down.

?

With each beat of His heart,

Jesus knew His part, and

Yes! He could have come down.

He chose to die for you and I,

He could have come down.

?

With His heart beating weak now,

His blood streaming down His brow

Jesus made His choice.

He made it for You and Me.

YES, He could have come down!

?

His resolve was for Us,

Self denial upon that Cross

Brought forth salvation for a dying world,

He could have come down.

?

In our place Love, was His motivation,

He made Heavens choice.

He chose to die as us,

Than to live in Heaven without us.

Yes He could have come down.

?

Before the final beat of His heart,

He felt His Fathers care depart,

And yes He could have come down.

?

He bowed His head and cried out His last,

It is Finished said He,

With an exhale of Love, came redemption for Us,

PRAISE-GLORY-HONOR to the Lamb,

I am glad, He didnt come down.

Jesus Loves You!

(Eph 2:8 KJV) For by [Gods] grace are ye saved through [Jesus] faith; and that not of yourselves: [ we had nothing to do with it ]  it is the gift of God:

(Eph 2:9 KJV) Not of works, [ anything we can do ] lest any man should boast.

What was the gift of God?

(John 3:16 KJV) For God so loved [ took the first initiative ] the world, that he gave [ the gift ] his only begotten Son, [Jesus Christ ] that whosoever believeth

[ and obeys ] in him should not perish, [ which is the opposite of life ] but have everlasting life.

These TWO Bible truths should be used in unison, sadly only one is quoted frequently. :)
